Class Descriptions

Ashtanga , Primary Series                                        Yoga Chikiysa, or Yoga Therapy, as taught by Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois. Detoxify and align the body through the cultivation of an inner purifying heat. The integration of breath along with the prescribed sequence of postures into a continuous flow (Vinyasa) cultivates the perfection of strength, balance, flexibility and a vibrantly healthy body and mind. Teacher's prior consent required.

Relax Deeply                                                                   Floor postures that support deep relaxation, tension release, stress management and that foster the body's innate healing capacity. Excellent as a prenatal practice, for remedying fatigue or those suffering chronic pain.  All levels welcome.

Vinyasa Yoga                                                              Synergy of breath and movement form the basis of Krishnamacharya’s Vinyasa.  Explore a full range of postures; hip openers, forward bends, backbends, balancing, twisting and inverted postures in a systematically approachable way. Level II, enthusiastic beginners welcome                    Level III requires teacher’s consent

Morning Satsang                                                           Start the day with chanting Patanjali Yoga Sutra and a basic Pranayama practice followed by a meditation.  Class is free of charge when attending the following class.                                                                                     All levels welcome.
